‘Capital 5’ stars return from Turkey

Key cast and crew for new sequel to Iranian series ‘Capital’ return back to Iran after shooting some scenes in Turkey.  

Elham Ghafouri, the producer of the popular Iranian series, was quoted by media on Monday as saying that the filming started in Turkey after shooting scenes in Iranian provinces of “Mazandaran and Tehran as well as the [Ghazali] Cinematic Town.”

Noting that the filming was done in Turkey, he added, “The key cast members of the series all went in front of the camera.”

The 13 to 15 episodes series will be ready for next spring, the producer also said.

According to a report, the cast and crew went back Sunday.

Four seasons of the series ‘The Capital’, directed by Siroos Moghaddam, already came out in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The first season started with the story of a family's migration from the small town of Aliabad to the capital, Tehran, and troubles they encounter.

Mohsen Tanabandeh, Alireza Khamseh, Rima Raminfar, Ahmad Mehranfar have appeared in installments of the series.
